I know it was corny but I loved it
I know it was corny but I loved it
Still a 40 goal plus goals and assist hole to fill from the past two season
Tonightβs viewing is at a bucket list ground. The outstanding Central Park, home of Cowdenbeath v Boβness Utd. The nutcases did caravan carnage after the game on Saturday. Brilliant.

Hi, fellow Boro Collectors, just to let you know that Book 3 in our 6-part series is out now covering the period 1940-1960. A brief description of the contents and details on how to order a copy are shown in the advert below.
Any particular ones best Nige? Just about to start my copy
Another very enjoyable visit to @bookcornershop.bsky.social in Saltburn. Looking forward to reading these two new books from @danielgraywriter.bsky.social and @jamespiotr.bsky.social
Theyβve gone up a bit, Β£4 now. The torrential rain is still there though!
Aberdeen bound again so tonightβs fayre is Alloa Athletic v Dumbarton in the Scottish Football League 1. Wetter than an otters pocket. Nice detour for haggis, neeps and tatties in Edinburgh mind. 31 out of the 42 done
@eggpod.bsky.social @danmersh.bsky.social Evening gents. Iβm listening chronologically all the episodes of Eggpod and have reached the one where chat about George Harrisonβs Brainwashed. How have I missed this album? Itβs fantastic!
That was a dilemna mate! To get the money back I had to give back the tickets!
Some oddities from the Boro vaults. Tickets for 3 Boro games that were never played due to season being cut short due to COVID. A home game v Swansea, followed by 2 away tickets at Stoke and Hull
One of those players who will always try things and when they donβt come off they take the flack. Lovely footballer to watch
π Book news! My new one, out April 2025 with @HarperNorthUK

Finn Azaz showing what a signing he's been for Boro. He's only been at the club for 11 months and he's now played 37 games scoring 9 goals (1 in every 3.25 games) and also got 12 assists (1 in every 2.4 games). Class act.
I think if I added cup games Robbo's figures would be a lot higher. Karanka's 2014/15 and 2015/16 seasons we fairly rattled the goals in, it just went awry in that Prem campaign
To complete the list....
Michael Carrick right up with their with his goals per game record whilst Boro manager (league only). Only Bob Dennison has more post war and that was in the period when Cloughie was grabbing 40 plus goals a season.
Today was the first time Boro have scored 6 in an away league game since a 6-6 draw at Charlton in October 1960!
I live in Saltburn! Thankyou, Iβll try there
Voted
Those grounds are at AFC Wimbledon, Bromley, Cheltenham Town, Salford, Morecambe, Accrington, Colchester, Northampton, Crawley, Bristol Rovers, Stevenage, Shrewsbury, Barrow and Fleetwood!
Had a mare with my earlier post! Was looking through at games Iβve seen us play at but some were of course only friendlies! With Oxfordβs Kassam being ticked off on Saturday that leaves 14 grounds out of the 92 that Boro havenβt played a competitive first team game at!
Iβve had a mare here. I was looking through my list and Iβve seen us there in friendlies but you are right, not in competitive games! Will do a rewrite! π
We beat Arsenal 5-0 the week after their cup final. I thought we were world beaters when in reality they probably played kids!
Ive one of those too, how do you get rid of it!
It was Ayresome Park, May 1980. Iβm guessing impossible as Iβve never seen it. Fantastic work with the Brennan and Mogga goals mind
Some of these might be testing if not impossible. 1st game goal - David Shearer v Liverpool 79/80, memorable away goal - Brennan ZDS v Villa 1990, favourite player by a country mile Tony Mowbray. That goal v Norwich in 1988 was a beaut!
Treble hello here too. Have you any of the first 3 issues too?
Oops very true. Teesside
