We argue for the integration of specific inhibitory control training into treatment for all CUD samples (outpatient and in-treatment).
What does this stability mean? 👇
🔎 It suggests that impaired inhibitory control may be a stable cognitive feature or a persistent vulnerability linked to CUD 💊, rather than a temporary state-dependent effect ⏳.
While we confirm the expected significant correlation between CUD and poorer inhibition, our key finding is its UNEXPECTED STABILITY across major variables. We found this deficit was NOT significantly moderated by:❌ Days of abstinence❌ Years of use❌ Sample type (Clinical vs. Community).
