Keck Archive reaches one million files! 💾
Since rolling out real-time ingestion in 2022, the @keckobservatory
Archive has acquired 1 million files in real-time from the Keck 2 telescope and 765K files from Keck 1. Congrats to a magnificent team on this milestone! koa.ipac.caltech.edu
I am the lead author on the "Cloud Adoption Survey in Major Facilities and Mid Scale Institutes," which emphasize the benefits of the cloud while recognizing long-standing barriers to adoption. The paper is posted at lnkd.in/dK27GDVf.
Here is a second paper at ADASS 2024, "New Python-based Architecture for the Keck Observatory Archive." The lead author is Rosemary Moseley, a very talented S/W Engineer at IPAC. This is her first presentation as lead.
