When still had biddies and I used to tape bind my chest occasionally, I only went through like 1.75 rolls in total.

I’m sorry to hear that :-(! If you need a cheap skin-safe tape that is lasts long and likely to cover the eye in one strip, I’d recommend trying KT tape (not brand name) combined w/ a napkin over eyes/brows.
