Murphy: “I think it’s likely the U.S. carried out this attack on this school — I think it's unforgivable under any circumstances, but the fact that this was one of our 1st targeting decisions, that this mistake was made on the 1st day of war — I think speaks to the incompetence of our leadership”

This in itself is why the western allies regard the USA as an unserious partner. How can they be relied upon to protect others, when they're doing ill advised shittery like this?

Not trying to be hyperbolic, I fear we are on the cusp of a 9/11 type catastrophe that this regime is unwilling and unable to protect us from.

I think more than what was going on with Epstein with him raping kids , we need to know why the US was protecting him.

So the need to transition away from oil isn't just about the energy element, it's how can we produce *everything* without it? When we finally run out of oil, (and that day is coming) that's when we as a race will begin to die.

The problem is that with all the focus bring on the Straits of Hormuz, and the lack of oil movement, we're thinking only in terms of price at the pump. Oil is so much more than that. Oil and its derivatives are in just about everything. From the roads, to tyres, to lipstick.

America does not have the greatest military in the world. The very fact that we have this constantly crammed down our throats gives the lie to the assertion. Yes, they have a load of cash and shiny weapons, but that's it. The American government never started a war it could finish on its own.

Why are Russian paralympians allowed to compete under their flag, yet a led bodied athletes weren't?

Surely Russia should be a pariah on the world stage?

Federal agents lied about why they shot a Venezuelan man in Minneapolis. Their story quickly fell apart. The attack marked the only time that federal authorities admitted wrongdoing during Operation Metro Surge.

Then-DHS Secretary Kristi Noem doubled down, denouncing the incident as an act of “attempted murder” on law enforcement. Her agency published mugshots of all three men arrested in connection with the alleged assault, casting them as “violent criminals.”

None of it was true.

This war:

1. Is good news for Russia

2. Is bad news for our Labour government

3. Diverts from Trump's involvement with Epstein.

Seems like a good strategy as far as Trump is concerned.

Don't forget the Iranian sailors left to drown after their unarmed ship was torpedoed by an American submarine. America left the Sri Lankans to pick up the pieces. Literally.

These people are war criminals.

So he’s surrendering without accomplishing any of his stated objectives while declaring victory. Exactly what we said would happen.

So far the war on Iran has cost $9.4 billion.

That's $1 billion per day.

$41,666,667 per hour.

$11,574 per second.

Thousands of lives lost.

People don't want this. They want a living wage. They want healthcare. They want to be able to afford a home. They want their basic needs met.

If you think the global leadership didn't know this would happen, you're naive.

Two known war criminals, with warrants for their arrests, have now expanded their wars.

They all knew.

They did nothing to prevent this.

The American government is the worst of it, as far as complicity.
Shameful.

Himes: I have a theory on how this ends…

You’re going to see oil go across $100… Projections for economic growth are going to go down.

And at some point in 3-5 weeks, the president is going to say this is really not tenable. And he’s going to declare victory and walk away.

DHS nominee Markwayne Mullin is one of the most active stock-traders in the Senate — and violated the STOCK Act against insider trading as recently as last August.

He currently holds stock in L3Harris, which has millions in contracts with ICE and FEMA.

The grift continues.

Tate was trying to get to Dubai on a bus.

When they got to the Saudi border everyone was told to get off for passport and baggage checks and Tate decided to stay on - presumably because the bus was air conditioned and he didn't want to stand in a queue.

He then got detained by Saudi guards.

The problem is that the USA isn't a signatory to the conventions whereby people like Hegseth can be tried at The Hague. Unfortunately, Americans themselves are going to have to deal with this themselves.

The Constitution is clear: Congress decides on war. When a president uses military force without authorization and Congress stays silent, they are abandoning their role as a co equal branch of government. War is the most serious power our government has. Shame on the U.S. Senate today.
