It is a system of wealthy men taking care of their own. We don’t fix this by electing another man (or woman!) in this club. It is an entire system that is working as intended.
I don’t think he stumbled into it so much as that again, the system supported him the same way it did Epstein, Musk, Cosby- it’s the patriarchy. It is one gross man being supported by dozens of others who in turn do the same for each other. Trump isn’t uniquely bad.

Trump would not have been "successful" if we didn't live in a system designed to uplift him. He's a high school bully, and high school bullies thrive on reality tv. They don't have to be brilliant. The lawyers working on Project 2025 & in Federalist Society? I think they're playing a long game.
The inverse of this also- there's plenty of very smart people who aren't "successful" because they have empathy/ at least go through the world without treating people as disposable tools, who aren't in lockstep with the system we're living in. There's a reason our presidents are the way they are.
Men are pretty good at "failing up" because the system we're in operates in a way designed just for that purpose. I don't think they're all so successful because they're brilliant, but that our system rewards cruelty whether it's wielded by the smartest guy in the room or the stupidest.
