“28 Years Later: The Bone Temple” is one of the best zombie movies ever made.
Thank you! It was a pleasure to assist with this great piece! @kieraevebutler.bsky.social
If you've ever wondered what kinds of nuclear companies the Trump administration has in mind to power all the AI data centers, I just wrote about one: www.motherjones.com/politics/202...
Ahead of the #StateoftheUnion, I spoke with Raiza Contreras, Chuck Schumer’s guest. Her son Dylan was one of the first NYC students detained by the Trump administration.
“You aren’t dead,” Contreras tells her son in detention calls. “You will return.”
For USA Today:
Bad Bunny got over 3 million more viewers than the overall Super Bowl and had one of the most-watched halftime shows ever. So much for the narrative that people would turn off the TV when they heard music in Spanish.

The Bad Bunny halftime gets even better every time I rewatch it.
Wrote about Bad Bunny and how after more than a century under U.S. rule, after attempts to erase our national identity, after the man-made crises and natural disasters that have befallen our people, in the face of every challenge, seguimos aquí. We’re still here.

Such an important story: ProPublica went inside the immigrant detention center for families in Dilley, Texas. Children held there told us about the anguish of being ripped from their lives in the U.S. and the fear of what comes next.

Bad Bunny makes history! First Spanish album to win Album of the Year at the Grammys.
“Before I say thanks to God, I’m going to say ICE out. We’re not savage, we’re not animals, we’re not aliens. We are humans, and we are Americans.”
“The only thing that is more powerful than hate is love. We love our people. We love our family, and that’s the way to do it. With love.” - Bad Bunny
Olivia Dean during her #GRAMMYs acceptance speech for Best New Artist:
“I’m up here as the granddaughter of an immigrant, I’m a product of bravery and I think those people deserve to be celebrated.”
Beautiful speech from Shaboozey.
“Immigrants built this country.”
“Thank you for bringing your culture, your music, your stories, and your traditions here. You give America color, I love y’all so much.”

The Trump administration is invoking a Reconstruction-era law meant to protect Black people from the KKK to target Black journalists and activists.
#BREAKING: During a town hall event on Tuesday, Rep. Ilhan Omar @ilhanmn.bsky.social was assaulted by an attendee who sprayed her with an unknown substance and demanded she resign from Congress.
She declined treatment and continued the event a few moments later.
Hard to say how many showed up for Alex Pretti’s vigil, but easily hundreds if not thousands. After community activists and leaders spoke at the park where they gathered, everyone marched to the site of Pretti’s killing. Streets just filled with people demanding ICE out.
There is no indication based on the available video evidence that he tried to harm federal agents, much less inflict “maximum damage” or “massacre” people.
“There’s a time to stand up for things, and this is it. If it takes away from a day of our income, that is worthwhile.”
In December, Pastor Sergio Amezcua put out a sign-up for Minnesotans who were afraid to leave their homes and needed grocery deliveries. Since then, his church, Dios Habla Hoy, has delivered food to 17,000 families.
