Writing update! I have been playing @worldofwarcraft.blizzard.com instead of finishing my WIP. In my defence, literally nobody is waiting for me to finish and Midnight is brilliant.
Itβs fun to be in at the start of an expansion again! The noise I made when I found Pepe could only be heard by cats.
Uncooperative Thursdays with Longfang and I is now live on Twitch with some SPACE MARINE 2??? :O

Though they missed the obvious opportunity to declare βGlordonβs alive?!β (Unless I missed it) which I was waiting for from the moment Glordon was introduced.
@thekatemulgrew.bsky.social being the voice for the museum exhibition about the Voyager program in Elio is just *chefβs kiss*
And now my eldest wants to watch ST:Voyaer again (Iβm not complaining!)
Now I see where Iβm going wrong!
But now I see everything. Too much. And my eyes hurt from not blinking :<
I know itβsβ¦ ahemβ¦ cheesy, but I do laugh every time I hear that damn Gouda joke
A white mug with black bats printed across the outside. The inside of the cup is black and the remains of a cortado are visible. The desk it is on is a light oak colour. A black, vertical, computer mouse with the Evoluent logo is visible to the left side
The first coffee after descaling always has me convinced that Iβm going to poison myself. Has the machine been flushed? Extremely. But still π Anyway, the coffee is 10/10 despite my lips insisting that they are tingling (they arenβt) and my brain telling me I can definitely taste descaler (I canβt).

Jamie Campbell Bower would make a good (The) Doctor. I still want Tilda Swinton, but if itβs got to be a white guy then Jamie is the one.
The head of the company ripped off a load of small firms who never got paid, and he ultimately went to prison for it all. Very gammon, and from my dealing with the county, very Derbyshire.
I feel for the small firms affected though. Mid 80s (just before my time) was not an easy time.
A video popped up for the history of The American Adventure/Britannia Park. I went a few times as a kid so gave it a watch. The BritPark bit was hilarious and showed βpatriotβ types have always been grifters. It promised the best of British and when it opened was a sad, unfinished disappointment.

Iβm struggling to decide which one my favourite is at the moment so Iβll just go with The Dark Portal because itβs a hell of statement piece to just have in your home!
we live in the ruins of a greater civilization
Aw theyβre adorable!
Maybe an unpopular opinion but generally, I think the WoD Garrison was cooler than player housing. I miss the functionality, the place being full of followers, the mine, fishing lake, herb garden, tavern etc. sure having an actual house within it would have been the ultimate but yeah.
a round pottery piece with pig eyes and a snout
i think we all need to step back and realize that peak art was made when neolithic pot in the shape of a pig was fired
β¦ came from. Just more marketing I guess but it pisses me off so much. Anyway, with that rant out the way Iβm away to eBay to try and pick up some cheap PointHorror books that I never got rid of but donβt have anymore.
β¦Goosebumps, Animorphs, Jaqueline Wilson stuff etc. and people did go mad for it. Kids were reading. Then HP started getting pushed to our parents on morning tv chat shows etc. and our parents then pushed it on us. So I really donβt know where this rhetoric of βit got kids reading again!!!ββ¦
Iβve been thinking about books a lot (not unusual) specifically the books my gen were reading as kids. This is a Harry Potter related post just to get that out of the way. We had the scholastic book fairs in school and even the most βtoo coolβ kids would enjoy it. Mostly we were going mad forβ¦
I got to see Grace Petrie and Molly Naylor tonight. Itβs always nice getting to anything where there are a bunch of left wing people. I live in a place where flags, bigotry and shitty political choices are rife and itβs nice to have a few hours where Iβm reminded that people with other views exist
I ran my first 5k today. It was slow (2 miles of it was on an incline so it would have been faster if not), but itβs done. Iβve also been writing. It seems too successful for a Sunday.
Every time thereβs a windows update my laptop struggles more. Fuck you Microsoft. Itβs ancient and I use it for writing and looking up things to do with writing, even so itβs getting ridiculously slow. It now struggles to run my old matrix screensaver which has been working just fine for years.

2/2 when money is better and I have time and space. Itβs left me feeling weird. I loved forging things, I was no expert, never made anything amazing, but I enjoyed it, burns and all. Iβm still trying to relearn knitting to fill the crafting gap but yarn is far less forgiving than steel, more complex
1/2 I gave away my metal stock (as in bars of metal, sheet metal etc that I had ready to work on) at the weekend. It was weird. I havenβt forged anything in the last year or so because my gas forge broke in an unrepairable way so I resigned myself to picking the hammer up again βsomedayβ
