I had no idea. Thanks for clarifying. Trump’s behavior certainly doesn’t square with his concerns about going to hell. But nothing about him or his administration makes any sense, unless, we view their actions through the lens of psychopathy.

Hmmm . . . all along during this presidential shitstorm I’d been thinking, “He behaves as if he’s immortal,” but your assessment of his motivation for his actions feels accurate and terrifyingly true. I’d say, though, that his awareness of his mortality is largely unconscious.

Serious question here as I’m unfamiliar with committee rules & decorum: What are the implications of Jordan repeatedly declaring “objection”? Does it mean these statements about Noem are kept off the *official* record?

“I will look into the case” is Noem’s favorite skipped record mantra, and a confession, really, to her egregious and criminal dereliction of duty.
