Roma communities risk being shut out of primary care.

• 27.5% need help every time
• Many rely on younger family members to book appointments, translate info & navigate systems

💻 Engagement with digital health tools is extremely low:
• Only 2% have used the NHS App
• Booking GP appointments online was the most common digital activity, yet only 25% of respondents had done so.

📃 Our findings show that digital exclusion is deepening these inequalities.
📉 91% have no WiFi
📵 79.5% have no mobile data
🖥️ 0% have a laptop or tablet
📱 Despite most owning smartphones, 75% don’t use any online primary care services

✏️ Contributing factors include:
• Low income & labour-intensive work
• Overcrowded housing
• Low literacy
• Language barriers
• Long-standing mistrust of healthcare institutions
These challenges already limit access to care.
