The absolute *best* thing we can do for orphaned or abandoned wild monkeys is to support wildlife rescue centres that rehabilitate and reintroduce these animals back to the wild, giving them the second chance they deserve.

Ichikawa has done a great job at platforming #Punch as an ambassador, but it's important to know that this situation happens in the wild too! Infant monkeys may be abandoned or orphaned, which in the wild is often due to human impacts like habitat destuction or poaching....
I've been seeing the viral macaque named Punch at the Ichikawa City Zoo in Japan! I want to take the opportunity of his virality to remind eveyone that wild animals are not pets and that Punch will be his happiest among other monkeys!
