Trump has gotten the USA in a bit of a quagmire.

I would caution that "democrat strategists" should focus on accurate polls. While I agree with you on the midterms, I also think Trump's base makes things closer than I would like.

Iran has not been an empire for about 2,000 years.

The general officers and naval admirals who remain with Trump as his direct staff must be quite inept. The competent ones have resigned or were fired.

US laws are meaningless unless the party in power has the will to use those laws, as the POTUS is not considered an average citizen. The Republican Party is currently in command of both the House and Senate, pending midterm elections.

It's easier to get into one than to get out of one. Trump is about to learn that. #FuckAroundAndFindOut

Beirut also.

Trump's statements about Iranian nuclear materials would indicate that deep bunker busters aren't as effective as the manufacturers have claimed.

Listen up. Useful insight by Mr Vlad.

It's clear that Trump does not understand the difference between strategy and tactics.

He is such a debased lapdog for Trump that it is quite cringe worthy.

I would surmise that USV can also lay mines.

Wanted to add that Musk's monopoly on US launch vehicles and other services should be broken up.

Trump, Putin, and the war in Iran YouTube video by Anders Puck Nielsen

Puck raises some good points about Trump's association with Putin's Russia. youtu.be/LQfGM1IidoA?...

This would be a major escalation, and if they are able to get the mines out in any significant numbers, opening the strait would be a longer affair than it currently has the possibility of being.

Just the mere threat of mines will put the kibosh on shipping through the Straits. If true, it will certainly complicate matters. Thank you, Donald Trump.

As I wrote elsewhere, Iran has reportedly begun laying mines in the Straits of Hormuz.

10.03.2026 19:54 ๐Ÿ‘ 0 ๐Ÿ” 0 ๐Ÿ’ฌ 0 ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

Indeed, all Iran has to do is outlast Trump, lay a few mines in the straits.

Important insight on Trump's call with Putin.

More of what should be obvious: the SAVE Act is yet another injection of chaos by Trump and whoever handles him. Chaos that distracts from the Ep issue.

09.03.2026 19:35 ๐Ÿ‘ 0 ๐Ÿ” 0 ๐Ÿ’ฌ 0 ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

Obvious but not easy: If Iran can continue to keep the SofH closed/bottled up, they can possibly out-wait Trump/Israel by forcing an economic crisis. Even better for them is if Trump makes good on his threat to put boots on the ground. One can never tell how it will turn, though.

the mantis shrimp has 16 types of color receptors.

humans have 3.

we see roughly 10 million colors and think that's impressive.

the mantis shrimp is sitting there processing a visual reality so hyperchromatic that scientists genuinely aren't sure what it's like to be one.

Bottom line, there is always at least one wild card in war.

I wrote on Trumpian chaos a while back. I added that Trump knows that institutions are slow to respond to chaos, especially if it is on multiple fronts. Bottom line, not just chaos but chaos coming in hot from different directions and levels.
