Preview text: And Jamil held his gaze, something definitely stirring behind the opaque curtains he rarely, if ever, drew back. “Is that what you truly wish for?” “More than anything else in the world.” The way Jamil looked back at him also conquered Kalim’s senses, drawing him further into his presence, away from the surrounding world where— “Forget what I said earlier.” He drew his hands back into Kalim’s sight, slithering past each other as he crossed his arms in front of his chest. “How about we play a game, instead? If you can figure out what it is that I wish for the most and grant it to me—before I am able to do the same for you—then I will happily marry you…” his voice descended into a whisper, “…no matter the consequences.” The flame within Kalim roared to life. “I accept!”

My last fic for the year (for the 5k AU event via Amnesty Weekend) is now on Ao3! Kalim proposes to Jamil, who challenges him to a game in return—a game that does not go quite the way that Kalim expects it to.

Over the last 2 weeks I've written 24k (14k just last week), finished Cruise Control and got it all on Ao3 for All Ships Week, and met zine check-ins. So I can face plant onto the floor, right?
