Fucking stomach bug keeping me up all night and having to constantly get up to go to the bathroom for like half an hour every hour or so. Now I’m sleep-deprived and have constant bellyaches. 🫩

That’s really how I feel being in this community, down to just existing around the fandom.

Being in the furry fandom has honestly been the loneliest time of my life. I’m really not seeing myself continuing being in the community coming up in my 30s.

Yeah, I don't fault anyone for being busy with their own lives, but its moments where I just want to be noticed and felt welcomed, and I hate to bother anyone because I'm the one who's feeling lonely or upset. I just hate to be a burden when they also have bigger and better things to worry about.

I just think as I've gotten older and used to being around my other friends for so long, over time it's become apparent that I'm not really much needed around unless they invite me to something. They do say they enjoy my company but it always just ends up with me being isolated and alone anyways.

I've been trying to look past the art and other projects people do and try to focus on them specifically to find and maybe form some sort of friendship because I do want to care and want to be there for them, but it always fall short and I rarely hear from them when there's a slither of connection.

This whole rant from Goon is exactly what I’ve been dealing with for the longest time now. I just never really could manage the type of words to put together like this.

Always hard to differentiate between who’s your friend and who’s an acquaintance, and I’ve yet to find those true friends. :/

Gosh. Reading this whole thread is just EXACTLY the type of feelings I’ve been dealing with for so long. Hard to really trust those who I call friends who don’t even want to give you their full attention, and if they do, they just want something from you. These are honest valid points you have made.
