I'm happy and proud to support @51st.news. In this era in which Bez@s destroyed the Washington Post, and @wamu.org destroyed DCist, we need local DC reporting more than ever!

Man had always assumed that he was more intelligent than dolphins because he had achieved so much—the wheel, New York, wars and so on—whilst all the dolphins had ever done was muck about in the water having a good time. But conversely, the dolphins had always believed that they were far more intelligent than man—for precisely the same reasons

Basic, but also true

Country Joe & the Fish - VietNam Song - Live Woodstock 1969 - Full HD Video
Country Joe & the Fish - VietNam Song - Live Woodstock 1969 - Full HD Video YouTube video by Dima T

RIP Country Joe McDonald, who died yesterday at 84.

Here he is in 1969 at the original Woodstock, singing the Vietnam Song aka “I-Feel-Like-I’m-Fixin’-to-Die Rag.”

Absolutely NO relevance to today’s situation. NONE.

37 million pounds of food sold at retailers nationwide recalled because it could contain glass Oregon food manufacturer Ajinomoto expands an earlier recall of frozen and ready-to-eat products over glass contamination.

Sure there’s a nonsensical, horrific war, the environment is destroyed, jobs are in shambles, and secret police are disappearing people on the streets while any semblance of democratic leadership has abdicated responsibility, but at least there isn’t glass in our foo— www.cbsnews.com/news/frozen-...

btw about that pixar thing, the reason why these people think having a conversation about gay people with kids is difficult is because they don't know a way to say to their kid "gay people are normal but you are not allowed to be one" without sounding like a bigot (there is a reason for that)
