Heat network customers to be shielded from unfair price hikes Greater consumer protections introduced for heat network customers across Great Britain for the first time, supporting half a million consumers.

Today marks the start of Ofgem regulation of heat networks - protecting 500,000 consumers from unfair price hikes and providing powers to deal with poor service and outages.

My highlight of this week was getting to spend time with some of our area’s brilliant young people as part of UK Parliament Week.

Thanks to pupils at St Mary’s, Port Glasgow High, St Columba’s and Clydeview for the great questions and discussions.
