you should check out Problem Sleuth I think, it's one of his best works. doesn't suffer too much from the scale that he tried to achieve with homestuck. it's just a fun lil adventure story with silly dudes and it ends on a pretty good note

Truly not enough people are learning about epistemic humility. Or at the very least the teachings of Socrates. "I know that I know nothing" isn't some kind of self-hatred about one's intellectual abilities, it's honesty about the fact that perfect knowledge of anything is unattainable.

I only started to feel like I had a solid grasp of right and wrong when I accepted that for anything I believed in, I could be wrong about it. I built back my moral beliefs from the ground up, I had to justify everything I believed in with an argument I felt no logical person would disagree with.

It even took me so long to realize just how much of the morality I was brought up with were just assumptions, and not all of them I had ever justified with religion. Moral beliefs are able to leave the religions that spawned them to take on a life of their own. It just has to be unquestioned.

Having sort of witnessed it in my own family, I also see how a lot of people who leave christianity, usually due to abuse or ostracization, fail to question many of the morals that they were brought up with as christians. "Because God said so" becomes "Because it just is", no further rationale.

I always feel like I'm catching people in the crossfire when I say that morals should be based on logic. Like someone saying "I'm not good at logic, does that mean I have bad morals?"

It was my brothers and friends that made me into who I am, and in large part just the internet as a whole. The only thing I really got from my ancestry was genetics and privilege. I don't exactly know what you mean by honoring here anyways, I just do what I can to make the world a better place.
