I am slowly starting to try and stream again, but it has been very difficult. Trying to figure out what environment & tone I want to set, what I want to show & how to build a Community.
It's nerve racking. But I am trying my best, truly.

We were in federal appeals court today challenging President Trump's unlawful invocation of the Alien Enemies Act.

This administration is trying to misuse this wartime authority to deport people without due process. We’ll continue fighting until this illegal invocation is brought to an end.

I try really hard to be a good person. To make everyone I love proud, and feel seen. But I feel like I fail so much at it. I have been fighting a War inside my own body for a long time, and when it wages I often turn silent. That is my trauma.
And most days it feels like I'm not winning anymore.

Watercolour drawing of the Royal Courts of Justice with people waiting for buses and walking by in the rain. I started this on the spot but took photos in order to carry on with it at home because of the rain. A few brown spots have developed in storage (foxing).

I mentioned earlier today that I had done a watercolour of the London Royal Courts of Justice in the Strand. This is it from 1993 (see alt text). I did several paintings wandering up and down the Strand and also in the Inns of Court.

Do you think I WANTED to be stuck at home on New Year’s when I had people I love I could hangout with? No.
I wanted to be out, I wanted to have fun. But I also had to work next day for 10+ hours. And that’s not my fault, but way to make me feel like it was. I missed out on fun, and it hurts. A lot.

I may not have the Family that I was raised within, and I haven’t had that family in a very long time. But this Christmas I am beyond grateful for the friends I have found this last year, you are all my Family. And I truly love you all, and because of y’all - I can hear the Bells again ❤️.
