Their returns cancelled out Foden's haul essentially and no one else I had in prior team did anything so net neutral essentially and pretty much a grey arrow so still at 60k. Can't moan too much after insane positive variance since WC10

Went for a slightly sub-optimal FH with Palmer and Cunha over the template of Mbeumo + Szobo and got some nice fortune. I thought Cunha had a good chance of 90 and then i felt like Palmer had higher upside ev than Szobo. He didn't get the mins but some of that was game state.
Holy, I've seen some bad variance but that is the worst i've seen by far.
Haaland has Leicester at H in 30, Fulham A isn't that scary. There's a DGW in 32 and City likely to double in 33 so Haaland will be better. Again ideally I'd still have Salah but can't make it work unless I WC in 31. Making do with Haaland is fine.
The money lost is only relevant for however long you will want him back for. If I sell, I'll either buy back in 34 and sell or WC him in 31 and then sell again in 35. So at most it's 4 weeks.
He's 4.2m and I only needed to play him vs Ipswich so far - hardly worst asset ever!
You surely have to play Bruno instead of Hall/Munoz. Neither defender likely to keep a CS so relying on attacking returns and as attacking as they are Bruno has significantly more chance of a return (+ more likely for bonus when he does)
In my solves Cunha would have been a few game stop gap before JP and cost an extra transfer as needed to fund Palmer. He was basically optimal buy for a small window for some teams hence why analytics largely don't own.
I'll post a bad week at some point, I promise. Rolled this week expecting a middling week but Rogers, Isak and Solanke all pulling their weight to make it another insanely lucky outcome.
Yep, I'm lucky i'm a sub-optimal manager that had Semenyo as the alternative.
Only benched him for the Spurs game (stupidly played DCL instead!) out of his hauls. I've consistently had his xmins higher than default though
Do you genuinely think he's a better option this week than Isak, Salah, Palmer and Saka? Decent to hold for this week though if he isn't suspended.
brutal. I made the mistake this week. Hopefully it turns around in the next 2 but expecting to be punished again next week.
If I may make a genuine critique - I think you focus too much on fixtures and not enough on player/team quality. Mbeumo was a fine option vs Lei and indeed my VC but Palmer at Home was just better that week. You've been ul in your outcomes though.
I'd argue I'm more stupid for selling Bruno for Saka this week after Bruno had done the points and Saka hadn't.
Does anyone disagree with that take?
Most of the teams capable of winning three we'll want/already have 3 players from - they'll also cost more money and the upside isn't there - so yeah, you don't have to use transfers on it but it seems like the better strategy to do so
Lots of good weeks flying about, here's mine and my rise since GW7. Mostly it's been about Salah and Palmer but getting a few returns finally from my differentials in the last few weeks has helped. 3 more weeks till WC.
I don't need Saka, I just need to pick the right 2 players to make use of the funds it saves for not having him.
He was a good option on WC8 only due to fixtures but pretty bad now to own for upcoming run. Difficult to immediately justify a transfer use unless you need a defender for that week tho.
I feel the pain. I can't decide whether to post about getting 91 points, climing from 5.5m to 100k in 8 weeks or having 3FT with a WC still in hand!
If you mean Haaland he costs 15m
Love it. Nobody owns DCL anymore though ๐
Still got Forest at home next week and Southampton A in 20. Although I'll likely be getting rid when I WC in 18 or 19. Not worth a transfer before then
You have a decent record but there is close to 0 chance this is happening. He's getting subbed early precisely so he can start all of them.
Just the one in Salah. With a great bench would be pretty good for my team if it were to happen
It is, but it's also far from bad to have 3 defense instead and not worth spending 2 transfers to "fix" it that's just trying to be too optimal just bc Saka did the points recently which I know you hate!
Pretty sure I could not afford that team with my measly TV
But yes, there were some Haaland only owners that did pretty bad. But with Salah only I was 5.4m in gw6
On average Haaland owners did a fair bit better than Salah owners bc even tho they scored similar a lot of cheap value options were doing v well whereas the more expensive ones in Salah teams weren't. Also Haaland owners captained in 3/4 when Salah owners didn't in 3 and he blanked 4 when they did
