Knock 'em dead!1
It's Thursday, so it's FOSS Force's "Distro of the Week" by yours truly. This week we take Parrot 7.1 KDE for a test drive, and the home version for this security-based Linux distro offers much.

You go, girl. Point is, it can be done.
Not entirely true.
1) Not an expert, and have been using Linux since 2006, and
2) Still relatively sane, as my mother had me tested at a young age.
You could always develop one . . .
Sure. I will help where I can. Bear in mind I am neither a tech person nor a gamer, but I have been using Linux specifically since 2006.
Well, long story: Originally a CrunchBang user who took up with the BunsenLabs folks when they took it over, so about 10 years or so.
Debian-head here. Arch is good -- very quick -- but old habits die hard. Currently on BunsenLabs Carbon, a Debian-based distro, and love it to death.
CrunchBang stopped developing around 10 years ago. Its direct descendant is BunsenLabs, which is essentially the same.
BunsenLabs Carbon.
Written by yours truly . . . (takes a bow)
Yay, BunsenLabs!
I've got the greatest job in the world - test-driving Linux distros (and an occasional BSD) every week as FOSS Force's "Distro of the Week" writer. Today it's Q4OS, a Debian-based Czech distro that, in a nutshell, is a good one on several levels. Read why here . . .

As many of you already know -- and the rest of you will soon find out -- I write the "Distro of the Week" column for FOSS Force, where I get to spend a week with the Linux distro of my choice. Anyway, FOSS Force is holding a fundraising drive, and here's my pitch . . .

Distrowatch-dot-com is your friend. Explore and find what distro works for you. Good luck!
Misanthropic tendencies? Never heard of that program, but I bet it would run under Wine . . . π (ps -- ThinkPads rule!)
This week's FOSS Force "Distro of the Week" by yours truly is an oldie but a goodie, second only to Slackware in Linux longevity. It's Debian 13 'Trixie' and overall it gets high marks. But don't take my word for it, read on.

Glad you found the distro that works FOR YOU, but others may have different needs. Also, what's wrong with distrohopping anyway?
To be honest, I am not a fan. For servers? Maybe. But it throws up what I think are unnecessary hurdles for individual users on laptops/desktops.
Been using Linux since 2006. My daily distro is BunsenLabs, but I also write FOSS Force's "Distro of the Week" column, so I get to use a lot of them.
To quote Neil Young, "Rust never sleeps."
Not for nothing, but Happy Valentine's Day for all who need it. π€
I use Openbox on BunsenLabs -- that's a nice Conky.
This week we switched gears and took Lilidog Linux out for a spin in FOSS Force's "Distro of the Week." Openbox on Debian is a winner.

Debian or something Debian-based.
Interesting. Sorry, but I have nothing else for you.
And vegans. Don't forget vegans.
Not sure this will help, but assuming you're booting off an ISO from a USB stick, try adding "nomodeset" (no quotes) to the boot sequence, if you haven't done so already. Other than that, it look like a No for Nobara and maybe you should choose another distro. π€
A story: I used to work with a certified Adobe Photoshop "expert" who I introduced GIMP to, and he tried it out. Obviously not enough "bells and whistles" for him, but for the average computer user it seemed more than adequate. His words, not mine. Your mileage may vary, though . . .
