The first snow of the year #peaceandlove

Morning glory flowers, vines, seed pods, buds and leaves created with seed beads. Flowers are woven using peyote and herringbone stitches. The flowers are arranged as if they are grown on a small set of hinged panels. The overall size of the piece is 18”x15”. The beadwork was accomplished in 250 hours. The blossoms are represented in the different colorways - some are similar to the Heavenly Blue variety. The light blue and lavender blooms are similar to those found in the local soybean fields. The darker blue with magenta center are also a local variety found in abundance in my garden. The vines were made using a spiral twisted three bead herringbone using three sizes of beads. The flowers in the center of the screen are attached to a necklace which can be removed and worn. The vines and leaves are made using opaque and silver lined beads. The flowers are made with matte transparent Delica beads. The title of the work is A View Through Flowers.

Holiday ornament made by covering a wooden form with seed beads and crystals. Beads are made of glass and are in teal blue, aqua and gold colors. It is about 4” long and has a loop to hang with.
