Very valid and good for a mental break from the otherwise relentless stream of notifications demanding attention.
I only have a three "social" apps on my phone and those have been restricted in how many notifications they can generate. Makes it a lot easier to just "be in the moment".
After a back and forth with support: Nope, they are not bringing the feature back. They've changed chipsets used in these devices and those don't support custom radio stations. This likely also explains why the quality of my device does not align with all the reviews. It's an Expensive Paperweight.
Returning the device isn't an option because I got it through an awards (points-based) program at work, so luckily I did not spent any real money on it. I have contacted the vendor asking about the removal of this feature. Lets hope for proper support and restoration of feature 🤞
Technology enshittification: Get a Denver MIR-270 internet radio because it has, or well, had, a feature to add your own custom internet radio stations. The unit arrived today with the latest firmware and lo-and-behold: The one and only feature I got the damn thing for got removed from firmware. 😡

Here in the Netherlands, floppy and diskette were used interchangeably. And yes, floppy disk is still an accurate description of the media, because the actual disk inside the "not-floppy" case was still floppy, just like the older 5,25" floppy disks, which were in "floppy" cases.
