Interesting stuff. There's an interesting idea with a faction of Hylians becoming the Faron tribe, before eventually becoming the more familiar Sheikah.

Have you ever wanted to sit back and watch all of the cutscenes of #HyruleWarriorsAgeOfImprisonment film-style? 🎥

Very cool, I'll have to check these out!
I'd love to see a cut that incorporates the Tears of the Kingdom memories for the full Imprisoning War narrative.
There is a very intense contingent of the fanbase that is only interested in content that proves their pet theory correct. I think it's loosened up a bit over time, but they are still out there.
Rare retro art from a 1987 Nintendo famicom wall calendar. This features Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach, Bowser, and a bunch of Koopa and other characters all playing in a band under the ocean. The original text on it was for Super Mario Bros 2 but there is also some promo merch for the Mario Anime with this art. スーパーマリオブラザーズ ピーチ姫救出大作戦! Super Mario Bros.: Peach-hime Kyūshutsu Dai Sakusen!. Super Mario Bros.: Princess Peach Rescue Operation!. Super Mario Bros.: The Great Mission To Rescue Princess Peach!
I've been stitching together the 2400dpi scans I made from the 1987 #Nintendo wall calendar. It's slow going BUT I did get the art for Super #Mario 2 repaired & cleaned!
When I'm done the RAWs & repairs will be on my Internet Archive page: archive.org/details/@his... (Links to more stuff in my bio)
Raphica is a blast, but I enjoy how headstrong Quia is. Of the jabroni squad, Ronza is fantastic.
I'm glad that this game believes in consent. #tingle #legendofzelda
This is one of my favorite Zelda pieces and it's fantastic seeing it in such high quality!
A cel painting of a young, serious looking, Link walking towards the viewer and carrying all his equipment.
I did another round of clean-up on this beauty for the gallery, which is owned and scanned by @artofnp.bsky.social and was drawn by the extremely talented @yoshimiru-hoshi.bsky.social Most of you will know it from the #zelda US Tips & Tactics guide or Nintendo Power.

This page shows a Windmill Village with strange flower people. The other location is an alternate version of the Grand Channel seen on the previous page. For the rest... I am very curious what the Love Push with a peanut would have required...
This has an area with a telescope on a mountain, which matches up with the telescope seen on the world map. There's a Sky Workshop where Orbital Industries is located. It's mentioned multiple times in game but we never get to see it. Mask Town might have required the party to wear masks to fit in.
This page shows an alternate version of the train-switch area, a different version of Liar Village, and a High Speed Railway. There are also some discarded ideas for other methods of transportation before they settled on the Tingle Train.
This page shows off a Geothermal Town powered by a volcano, a Hall of Time, and an alternate version of Emerald City. That one shows another version of character designs too. The Hall of Time is where Buriki would have been manufactured.
I came across this map on the Tingle's Balloon Trip official site a few months ago. It was an early concept of what the world map might have looked like. The guide actually shows what a lot of these places would have been.
This part shows their origins as Oz characters and some of the different configurations over time. Apparently they intended Barkle to be around more for the Toto role. The bottom left might be my favorite of the bunch.
Lion went through the most changes. They went from a preppy cat girl to wrestler, salary man, until the final design. I love Lion in this game and his story is pretty heartfelt, but it is a shame he's so close to his Oz counterpart. Some of these earlier designs would have been fascinating.
Biriku had some very interesting design changes. It seems like they didn't decide on a feminine design until quite a bit later. They clearly wanted a robot instead of a Tin Man from the start.
Kakashi, the Scarecrow, went through a lot of design changes. One of his earliest designs looks vaguely Skull Kid like. The third iteration might be my favorite.
I had been hunting down some of the Tingle guide books. I picked up a guide book for the first game, but Balloon Trip was eluding me until I discovered it was already online!

There's some really interesting stuff in there about the development of the game.
Tingle doesn't deserve this slander!
A manga page of an open air, but intricate, dungeon in a chasm that is much like The Depths from Tears of the Kingdom. Quark, aka Link, and his 2 companions are contemplating the sight at the entrance.
The 42 page 1992 one-shot Link to the Past #zelda manga "Quark and the Fairy Queen" by Toshihiro Ono has some amazing art & designs, I REALLY love the layout & details for this dungeon area.

One of my favorite bits from A Link to the Past was how Link would get a new tunic, but rather than throw the old one out, he seemed to sit down and stitch the older tunic into his new ensemble.
For months now, I've built a folder in my Google Drive dedicated to my translations of pages and passages from #TearsoftheKingdom #MasterWorks.
Please, enjoy. I add more as I complete them.

This whole guide is a treat to go through. The artwork is fantastic.

This is such an epic piece of LttP art. Probably one of my favorites #zelda #nintendo
Just did a patch on it to join the 2 pages together. Shogaku Magazine's Grade 1, 9-1992. This issue is owned & was scanned by Linkabel at 1200dpi. Artist Junichiro Saito / 斎藤純一郎 archive.org/details/zine...
By the end of it, I at least could spot the difference between Hiragana and Katakana pretty easily. I also learned to recognize the mangaka's writing style enough to be able to figure out what characters were what when the OCR couldn't. But there was a few times where I had to get human help.
I'm not dyslexic but that was so painful. OCR only did me so much good. I was often spending over an hour just staring at a Wikipedia page, squinting at some of the more scribbly text trying to figure out the right characters and then plugging them into Google Translate to see if it was coherent.
What I thought was really cool in the ending was the story about the previous hero that Ganondorf faced. Not only did we get a proto-Ganondorf, but also a very similar concept to Hyrule Historia's Fallen Hero from the Decline Timeline.
Masamune/Gamehiker, someone I knew from way back in the early 00's forums, contacted me to let me know they had fully translated Junko Taguchi's 1993 manga! So for the first time in over 32 years we can now read it in English! #zelda #nintendo #lttp
