Interrupting my cats dinner time by walking between them and their food multiple times as revenge for all the meetings they've cameoed in this week as a tail smearing across my face in the video chat.

I held off until after work yesteday because I wanted to give it the full attention it deserves. I stopped halfway through an episode last night. I still have a few episodes to go, but I already know I'll want to rewatch it after I get through it. So many good moments I already want to see again. πβ€οΈ
Nami's face when he yells at her to shut up. πππ
Yes, I saw the previews so I already knew what he looked like but his intro is so good. ππππβ€οΈ
AGGGHHHHH CHOPPER IS SO ADORABLE!!!!
They replaced the yellowish bulbs in my apartment hallway with bright white bulbs, so leaving my apartment feels like I walked right into a department store.
Everyone is doing an amazing job and the casting is so good, but there are certain characters who are pitch perfect in tone and silliness of the source but still work in this show and Mr. 9 is top of the pile!
I have already cried twice and I'm going to need that sax solo as a track.
Mr. 9 is perfect. Straight out of the manga. Absolutely ridiculous.
I had to buy 8 boxes of Girl Scout cookies to get free shipping to buy it from my niece in Minnesota and I know I probably got bamboozled, but now I have so many cookies so I canβt be mad.
Solving my player immersion problem by making all my NPCs super unfriendly and hiss at you when you interrupt their daily activities with your nonsense.
I also now make this multigrain rice with a mix of barley, lentil, quinoa and black bean and the beans have to be soaked overnight, so this helps me be a bit more lazy because I don't have to plan my rice making to perfectly coincide with when I need it.
As someone who lives alone, making a big pot of rice and freezing it in little single serving size balls I can nuke in the microwave is PEAK. I never have to worry if the main I made is out of proportion with the amount of rice and it's great for struggle meals of rice, egg & kimchi.
I'm annoyed by the AI NPC thing again. It's like saying "what if you could open every drawer" or "go into every building." Those things are only fun in games if there's something to find in there. If 80% of them are empty, then you've wasted my precious gaming time.
My game dev role is disappointing my other game dev friends by not owning any of the latest generation of consoles, so I canβt play Pokopedia or any new release games with them. π
here comes ditto
Logically, I know it's not actually going to happen, but a small part of me does hold on to the belief that season two of the live action One Piece might fix me.
This reminds me of the Jenny Nicholson's Evermore video where she says conversing with park characters felt pointless because it's just random small talk from improv actors made up on the spot and not in service to a greater storyline... like it would be in video games written by omniscient writers.
My AI NPC game companion turns to me and says: "Let me tell you about tragic back story that is a cobbled together rip off of other better back stories you have heard in other games and that will have no real impact on how I behave or the wider game because this is all being auto-generated."
Her triangular shape adds to her AURA
Fluffy cat with intimidating presence, sitting on a runner in the entryway. The rug has been partially upturned and the cat is sitting on the fold. The light is behind her, casting her in a shadow and making her air of disapproval even greater
Imagine coming back from a run, opening the door, and coming back to this intimidating presence.
One of the true understandings over the years about my EA layoff is even if I had survived that one, I would have eventually been laid off anyways.
Cat sitting very close, practically on my lap, in the space where a book was being held until it was unceremoniously head butted out of my hands
I realize we lost an hour and I thought it would work out in my favor in context of the cats since they're fed an hour earlier, but they have adjusted far too well and too quickly and have moved up their complaining meows to be fed early, up an hour as well.
The King County Library system is doing a program aimed at adults who grew up with the Book It program, where you read for pizza called KCLS Rewind and I think thatβs so charming. Libraries are a gift.
THREAD: I got laid off from NYMag/Vulture after 14 years. The family lost 75% of income + medical. Now mzs.press bookstore, once a side project. is do-or-die for Judith & I. I feel weird telling you this because others are doing much worse. But if you could like or share this, we'd be so grateful!
Cat in a lap, head turned away to watch a round white robot vacuum, moving across the floor on a rug in front of her
Morgana is the more cautious of it of the two cats, preferring to keep an eye on it from afar.
I have one of those roomba vacuum/mops to help me maintain the fluff shed in my apartment and fortunately, it doesn't seem to scare my cats the way the normal vacuum does. This is also unfortunate as, more than once, I've had to go save it from a curious cat who has cornered it.
My cats love when I read. Both because Iβm usually lounging in a position where they can sit on me, and because they like to enthusiastically rub their little heads on the book until they knock it out of my grasp. This turns reading into some sort of a physical/concentration challenge on my part.
Khaladore from One Piece Live action. The actor is Alexander Maniatis, who doesn't actually look like Max Greenfield, but with the dark hair in this role, he looks so much like actor Max Greenfield
I'm rewatching season one of LA One Piece to prepare for Season 2 coming out and I fear I will never get over this actor not being Schmidt. He is the most Max Greenfield looking guy who is not actually Max Greenfield.
