It cost $60. :) The maple one, I started in 2004. The plan is to get back to it once the ash one is test assembled. Once they're playable, my progress often stalls when I play them rather than finish. :)
Have not used ash before; always wanted to. (Bought the body blank 20 yrs ago.) Weight seems avg; way less than the maple build I need to finish (it weighs a ton). HSS seemed appropriate for ash, a common Strat wood. Resonance, I'll find out when I test assemble it. :)

I think part of the reason the reaction to people arguing *for* GenAI use is so aggressive is that not a single one of these arguments bothers to meaningfully engage with the ethical problems these technologies present. And those ethical problems are monumental. They're not minor.
