Idk if you knew this or not, but I think around season 12 Annie and Clarabel were gonna be redesigned to have the grey faces. While that idea was scrapped, it seems like in the upcoming reboot they’ll actually get the grey faces.

This is most certainly because of people just having YouTube play in the background now instead of actually watching the video.

A birth defect left her with only partial arms, so she uses a new strain of prosthetics conceived by her biochemist parents; leafy vines to wrap around things, like an octopus. Stubborn, impulsive, and endlessly curious, Poppy refuses to let her disabilities gatekeep her from a fun and fulfilling life. She’s “one of the boys” in a way, with a love for dirty work and a good schoolyard tussle every now and then. She takes on a lot of work and holds herself to a very high standard, and gets in quite a state when she just can’t physically do something; even holding a pencil is a challenge for her. Her methods of letting off steam (putting bullies in their place) has earned her as many enemies as she has friends, but she couldn’t care less. She wouldn’t want to be friends with pricks like them anyway!

Having been ostracized and bullied for much of her life, she’s still a bit of a wet noodle and getting used to this whole “best friends” thing, but she’s grown considerably since her encounter with Poppy made them an inseperable duo. Olive’s more likely to break up a fight than get in one, being the big sis to two rowdy brothers back home, but she’s not without some physical prowess of her own; she’s one of the few people that can keep up with Poppy as they wreak havoc on the rooftops together, and anyone who’s seen her at the pool will tell you she’s like a dolphin. The blue waters are like a second to her, and have been since childhood. She’d love to be a swim coach someday and introduce that world to kids and adults alike... and Poppy’s her personal Summer project!
