Photo a Day 2026 - Day 69: I was happy to get a photo of this visitor to my yard today. The Sandhill Cranes in my area have begun forming large groups for migrating or pairs for nesting. I was surprised to see this one alone. Maybe Mrs. Sandhill was on a nest nearby. #photoaday #birds #nature

It's a bit of a climb but we can do it! Look just ahead, it's all down hill from here. This red dirt trail covered in tree roots can take us to a place where there is no spin. Where the moss hangs heavy on old tree branches. Where life is simpler somehow, regardless of the terrain. Walking among the giants one remembers how life is meant to be, not without bumps along the way, but with some semblance of order, in the nature of things. Hold my hand, we'll find a haven together.
