Ta! Charlotte found it (what would I do without that woman!!) - Tom had a special feeling for the book of Job and its engagement with science.

SCIENCE RELIGION AND THE HUMAN FUTURE (Oxford UP) available Jan 16! So grateful to fabulous co-authors Charlotte Sleigh & David Wilkinson who stepped up after the dreadful loss of Tom McLeish (plus new jobs for other authors): book would not be here without them! @eclasproject.bsky.social

Heads up for this excellent special issue of BJHS edited by @actgeppert.bsky.social . Insightful contributions on the cultural construction of 'founding fathers,' 'prophets,' etc. of the space age, taking a very global approach w/ works on Clarke, Sarabhai, Qian Xuesen, etc. I have a small epilogue.

Fertile Ground: Collaborations in Art and Ecology This PAX Talk will explore the work of artists and scientists who bridge the gap between science, art and activism.

Online talk on #art and #ecology on Thursday December 5 by a wonderful curator who spent many years at Wave Hill—so she knows her plant matter and the broader nature/culture systems in which they exist. She certainly knows art! www.eventbrite.com/e/fertile-gr...

The Music Instinct Why have all human cultures - today and throughout history - made music? Why does music excite such rich emotion? How do we make sense of musical sound? These are questions that have, until recently...

The Music Instinct is about why we make and love music, how our brains make sense of it, how composers and performers engage the emotions, and why music is IMO one of the most profound products of the human mind.
