My plan is to write a preview and a review for each game. Chances that I will stick to that for a full season? Low.

Cannot wait for Mak Lind to give @empiregass.bsky.social the full Josh Wolff treatment for this disrespectful prediction!
Thought it was a bad sign that OW wasn't in any of the Marabella photos.
As I have said before, signing Shaw was a mistake. Not because Jaedyn Shaw isn't a great player. Obviously, she is. But the Courage had two strong 10s and the worst forward line in the NWSL. Signing Shaw resulted in a poorly constructed roster. The Courage needed an elite, speedy winger.
The Shaw discussion is not quite on point. The Courage began the season trying to have Manaka, Shaw, and Sanchez on the field at the same time. To do so, they moved Sanchez to right wing, where she was a cipher.
The team finished 0-3-2 in the stretch where they tried this experiment.
Not a huge fan of this podcast, but their guest's breakdown of why NC missed the playoffs in 2025 is largely spot on. Poor GK play and defensive vulnerabilities. I would add really poor set piece defending to the mix.

Also, why Darius Rucker of South Carolina and not Old Crow Medicine Show which formed in North Carolina?
If Sweet Caroline wins, I'm cancelling my tickets.
This is fun. Three best color commentators in the women's game.
I hopeβand I feel pretty strongly about thisβthat the club is honoring Meredith Speck on July 11.
Is there really not a market for regular fit authentic NWSL shirts?
Fair enough as to the game plans. I mean, it's okay to attack in transition! The rules allow it.
I think the second issue fits under the umbrella of difficulty with interpersonal relationships.
This is an interesting focus given the credible accounts that "coaching the person" was Nahas's fatal flaw.

The absolute disrespect shown to the Dash's new crop of ACC All-Americans! π
If they expect the Gotham and Spirit games to seIl out, I'm happy to pay a few more dollars to exchange another game for more of those tickets. Inshallah!
The club got some blowback on these tiers and sent an email with more clarity. The reason is to "protect the value of higher-demand inventory."
If we have moved on from the concern of just getting butts in seats to that of maximizing income for some matches, that's a good thing! But I'm skeptical.
Final piece of the biggest reboot in club history.
I worry that with all of these veteran departures, the team may lack of bit of steel. You need some players who are, for lack of a better word, mean.
Not that TL fits that description. Appreciate all her contributions. Easy player to cheer for.
Taylor Smith suffered for nothing!
If these categories are pricing or priority tiers, which they must be, having Portland in the third tier is an utter betrayal of our football heritage.
It's like the 2017 final never happened.
Sometimes I think this club actively looks for new ways to piss off its fans.
The last OG. The page truly turned.
Reduced playing time and a short, unfruitful experiment as a winger.
Time to reunite this legendary comedy duo. #rootingforchowse

Would love to see a proven, maybe rugged midfielder get the last roster spot. Not a lot of depth there, especially if Manaka plays the false 9 to keep Sanchez on the field.
Does she merit a spot in the Ring of Honor? That's a tough call. She was an incredible player for NC, the missing piece who propelled them to dominate the league for two years. But she played for only two seasons. I don't really know.
