I finished re-capping my RCA Victrola 77U. I'm contemplating the refinish. The lid is crispy and needs to a complete sanding/re-stain.

I wondered what it would look like with high-gloss black on the lid and front grates. Here's current vs. mock-up

This Christmas season, I’ve been trying to practice listening more than speaking...

The horror isn't that the scorpion stings. That's its nature.

The horror is that the frog knew, and carried it anyway.

And then became a scorpion itself.

I should've known: LLMs are confidently wrong about parts and creative with schematic interpretations.
