I agree with you. It was just an impression constructed and fueled by social media. On the bright side, no one in my circles thinks the hard-right is a good solution for us. Even if some of them want something new and I agree with them. Something new would do us good...but not at any price.
And surprisingly, not necessarily the actions in the EU as much as the actions in the US because many βlive' a large part of their day on social media (Reddit, X, Instagram, etc.) and get their information from there.
From what I've observed around me (Iβm part of the generation transitioning between millennial and Z), the focus on the woke movement, on diversity and outing the LGBTQ community has been a major destabilising factor.
Communities, our modern-day tribes, should be the architects of their own boundaries and constitutions. Organic self-regulation is key to societal harmony.
With its decentralized and community-driven ethos, Web3 could be the tool we need to shape this vision.
From mere readers to active stakeholders.
And the ownership..isnβt just metaphorical.
With blockchain and tokenisation, you can have real stakes in platforms and applications. Youβre not just a user; youβre a direct stakeholder.
Now, the frontier: Web3. Itβs not just about reading or writing. Itβs about OWNING. Own a piece of an online platform, own your personal data, even own digital assets. The library? You own a section, and you decide the rules!
Then came Web2. It introduced interactivity. Now, websites werenβt just for reading; you could WRITE on them. Think blogs, social media, and e-commerce. The library now lets you write your own stories!
Web1 was the dawn of the internet. Websites were static, like digital brochures. You could just READ information. Imagine a library where you can only look at the book covers and even know there is more than cover.
Imagine if, after watching 'Bandersnatch' on Netflix, you could not only choose the storyline but also add your own plot twists and characters.
Web3 goes beyond just crypto.
Web3 - it's like an online game where everyone gets a say in creating the levels and setting the rules.
Web3 For All:
Web3 is the next logical evolution of the internet β more open, fair, and interactive. Itβs the future, and we're all invited to shape it!
Transparent Future:
Everything done in Web3 is recorded transparently. Mistakes or unfair actions? They're there for everyone to see. It's about creating trust and accountability.
Interconnected World:
Apps and platforms in Web3 are designed to work seamlessly with one another. It's like having gadgets that automatically sync and share features.
Token Economy:
Web3 introduces tokens (like digital coins) that hold real value and can be traded or used across various online spaces. Think of them as universal loyalty points!
Power To The People:
Web3 isnβt governed by just one big company. Instead, everyone involved can have a voice. Think community-driven decision-making.
True Ownership:
In the Web3 world, when you own digital items (like art or music), it's genuinely YOURS. It's like having a unique signature on a piece of art.
Heard the buzz about Web3 but feeling a bit lost? No worries!
Let's break it down into simple terms.
In the age of Web3, every voice has the potential to echo loudly.
A decentralized future means more voices, more power, and a collaborative online journey.
