I donβt think we talk enough about how the foundational, most aspirational premise of the AI industry is βwhat if there was a human-level intelligence that didnβt have human rights.β Like. Exploitation is literally the whole point! Of COURSE they hold human life, intelligence and labour in contempt!
What books did Alberta schools *actually* pull off the shelves in response to a provincial order? It took a lot of work to find out. We still don't have a complete picture. And some schools are still pulling material.
Free speech advocates say it's ban unmatched in Canadian history. #AbLeg By me.
The Service95 team asked me to write about how amazing Roxane is (easy assignment) and I told them Iβd do it for an autographed vinyl. www.service95.com/ashley-c-for...
Truly A+ use of the term underpants gnoming. You win the internet today!
Aerial view of five rows of graves being prepared by people and digging equipment, with vehicles on the left side.
Once you see this image as a grim American flag you cannot unsee it.
This was the best, most insightful, smartest thing Iβve consumed this week. Strongly recommend. The Mark Carney analysis was spot on. #cdnpoli

Mar 4 2026 BlueSky post claiming that it explained why we bombed a school in Iran "INFORMATION THAT IS A DECADE OLD" and had A Claude chat answer as its source
Hey guys this is not a viable source. Besides the fact that any AI system being used by the government presumably has access to more updated date (I sure hope). Claude is not a person, it can't answer questions about why it did something, it confidently lies, it doesn't have access to other's state.
Itβs really important that everyone on the skyline recognize that this is a Claude summary of what has been reported, and the prompt that generate this response isnβt visual. Do not treat this information as fact. #War
It's time to talk about hockey media in Canada. Actually, it has been time for awhile. My thoughts on comments from Insiders, hockey media approaches, using language correctly, and accountability - or the lack of it.

This should be illegal, full stop. This undermines community cohesion, social trust, and democracy. @evansolomon.bsky.social this app should be banned in Canada. #cdnpoli

It's a real failure on the part of @cbcradiocanada.bsky.social and other Canadian media outlets to be myopically focusing on tourists and missing the larger story at play here. Not everything is about Canadians first. Ximena GonzΓ‘lez nails it here. #cdnmedia
Nation returns to Heated Rivalry to watch Canadians get fucked in a good way
I can imagine how awful that must have felt! Thank you for sharing. We can absolutely have policies that make schools places all our kids can thrive, and we cannot lose sight of that truth.
No. The presence of police in schools in harmful to racialized and Indigenous children. The data from OCDSB and other boards are very clear about that. Police make white people feel safe, not all people feel safe. The fear that racialized children feel is real and justified. No police in school.
β¦food security makes schools safer. Dr. Ross Greeneβs upcoming book βThe Kids Who Arenβt OKβ clearly outlines the negative impacts of βhardeningβ of schools on children.
There are policy solutions to ensure a massacre like Tumbler Ridge never happens again, and we can enact them.

Should police be in schools?
NO.
Canada must not be pulled into US propaganda about school safety. Police officers, metal detectors, and cameras donβt make schools safer. Reducing the number of guns in the community, restricting access to high capacity guns, funding mental health access, and /1
"OpenAI said it trains its models to discourage users from committing real-world harm..."
Soooo did the chatbot's actual answers discourage her from committing violence, then? Given its responses to suicidal queries, seems like a relevant question??
I hope that rural voters will appreciate the bars being open Sunday morning while their local ER remains closed.
Absolutely wild. WSJ reporting that some OpenAI staffers thought the Tumbler Ridge shooter's use of ChatGPT raised the potential of real world violence but leadership decided not to alert RCMP. www.wsj.com/us-news/law/...

Grateful to see the humanity of Canada federal leaders in this moment of immense tragedy. I don't take this for granted, and it is a reminder that this is how we should expect our elected leaders to act: with humanity and grace. Love and solidarity with the community of Tumbler Ridge. #cdnpoli
