Making progress on my Sicily Slipover by #kisskissrhinestones done up on #taoswools Chica. The next stripes I so will be 22 rows long so will show the purple and blue a little better. Just playing around with the stripes, we’ll see how it turns out!
And it’s done! (But still needs to be blocked.) My #barenakedwools scrappy vest. It has leftovers from two MWALs. I combined those with the a skein of British Jacob Sport from a Barn Box from November 2023. The Honeybee Vest pattern by #knitagainstthemachine makes a great showcase for scraps!
Continuing with my Honeybee Vest by #knitagainstthemachine I’m running out of some leftovers. So I pulled leftovers and yarns that were either #barenakedwools or similar 2 ply non superwash sport yarns. So the big question, should I stick in a pop of color? And if so, red, green or purple?
My replica Stihl hat is complete! Used the OLE pattern by #paulastrickt but inserted a stockinette section for the name area. Very nice pattern, half brioche on small needles with DK creates a wonderful result. Used #thefiberseed Sprout DK in Safety Orange and #knitpicks Swish DK in black and white.
At sleeve separation for my BiRTHDAY61 sweater by #ankestrick and doing a test block. I think it’s hitting the gauge as my test swatch did and I’m good to continue. Love the #madelinetosh Prairie yarn in Abiquiu. Just loving knitting with lace weight yarn.
Challenge accepted! I replicated an old KTM Motorcycle hat a while ago for my husband. Just last week he spotted this Stihl hat and asked if I could replicate it. As it turns out I have yarn in stash ready for the task!
Finally joined in the round for the body on my Honeybee Vest by #knitagainstthemachine - working it up in a variety of #barenakedwools including leftovers from the MWAL in 2023. Love how it’s turning out!

Just about to start set 3 increases on my BiRTHDAY61 sweater by #ankestrick - I am absolutely loving knitting with this lace weight yarn Prairie, from #madelinetosh in the colorway Abiquiu. This is getting my noodle going to plan a year long lace piece for next year from Kinzel or Niebling.

Latest Musselburgh done and blocked! Pattern by #ysolda done up in Desert Vista Dyeworks Viso in the colorway You’re Welcome. It can with a variegated mini that I used for the top and bottom and used all of the main skein for the rest.
Now drying after a full soak and blocking. Bubbly Blossoms Blanket by #westknits and done up in over 4000 yards of Lankava Mainio from #finnishedknits - almost feels like a weighted blanket on the bed! My planning spreadsheet is linked in the project that shows how much to knit every day for a year.
My husband cutting down a long dead tree for firewood on our property to help keep the house warm while we wait for a 2nd furnace replacement in as many weeks. ☃️

Cast on yesterday for New Year’s Eve, my first random yarn pick for 2026. Yarn is #forbiddenfiberco Pride in the Honeydukes colorway and the pattern is Little Long Johns by #susanbanderson - a fun little knit!

My mom’s cactus is now blooming! So beautiful! 2nd picture is from April 2023 when it was a single piece in the pot at my mom’s apartment just a month before she passed. Mom always had a much greener thumb than me, but I’m super pleased I was able to get this little nubbin to thrive and bloom. ❤️

The 16th! My husband gets a second tool holder in his #weratools Advent and I get a couple Clothes Tags in my #twiceshearedsheep Advent. 😁
First try at a scrunchie! This is #toriknitsnyc pattern Soho Scrunchie done up in some left over #thefiberseed Sprout Worsted in Neon Lights. Was a fun quick knit! Now to find someone with long hair to gift it to!
