'The microbiological quality of draught no- and low-alcohol beers' by Giulia Roselli et al has been published. Its an important paper detailing the poor quality of NoLo beers on draught dispense. Its free/open access and very much worth a read at jib.cibd.org.uk/index.php/ji...
The latest open access Journal of the Institute of Brewing is out at jib.cibd.org.uk/index.php/ji... with papers on sustainability and the use of faba beans in the grist, the variables impacting on hop creep, and two papers on the aroma of whisky (long chain esters and rate of distillation).

Lots of well meaning noise in the media (hello BBC) about high levels of glycerol in slushies. Surprising then, that even in the publication that's triggered this, glycerol is not quantified in slushies. Mmmmm.
