We're looking for a graduate research assistant for 2 years! Come work in my lab - cognitive neuroscience / computational neurology (๐ง https://ndcn.ox.ac.uk/research/computational-neurology), in Oxford, on motivation in Parkinson's disease. Patient-facing role. Apply now:
Also - hippocampus, orbital, accumbens, and olfactory areas are most strongly implicated (though it's a mouse odour task).
My interpretation: each nested loop contains synfire chains and covers 2% of the 3s memory delay. Although the longest chains lasted ~200 ms, the authors fit an extrapolation suggesting that with 1000 neurons, you can span a 1 second delay.
New paper in Imaging Neuroscience by Ioana-Florentina Grigoras, Charlotte J. Stagg, et al:
Baclofen, a GABAb receptor agonist, impairs motor learning in healthy people and changes inhibitory dynamics in motor areas

Fascinating paper showing cross-region spiking motifs during a working memory delay! link.springer.com/article/10.1...
Fascinating paper that charts out the connections between various optimisation methods in a normative way! gershmanlab.com/pubs/Vastola25.
I'm recruiting PhD students for my lab at Northwestern! I'm reviewing applications for the Department of Psychology for the Cognitive Affective Neuroscience and Clinical areas, due 12/1. ๐ง
