I believe cities should be switching over to more green and renewable energy. With user friendly infrastructure that operates more like mutual aid than one of a business. A city is a community, we can do better by eachother.

These machines should be solar powered where possible. You could also "plant" a solar panel tree wherever people plant trees in the city to power some of these green machines. They should look friendly and endearing in their design.

Idea: smart recycle bins that pay you for what you bring in right to your phone through a QR code and a city controlled app. That way it incentivizes recycling and city clean up. Plus if you're someone out of work you can make some extra cash going to parks or cleaning trash up off the street.
