This ai list is so bad and full of errors that I am giving it to my Planetary Geology students as an activity - find the mistakes! Everyone knows it was Tom Hanks that walked on the Moon during Apollo 13! Silly ai. 😂

"Experts whose work it surfaces" is an interesting phrase.

Aside: Did they ever catch those work-surfacers who surfaced some work at the Louvre last year?

Yeah, not happening.

Spend five minutes in a brainstorm with a dev team and you'll have more ideas than you know what to do with, most of them completely awesome. No one needs a computer spitting out hashed garbage from things that have already been made for that.

Will have a thread soon about our new paper. I never thought I would do a HZ paper but it turns out the literature had missed some key points of the problem. LPL grad student Kayla Smith led our effort (and her first brown dwarf paper).

The Singularity is upon us: Apple's AI summarized a text message that read "I'm still down to clown if you are" to.... "clown event still possible."

Let me tell you something. Y’all are asking too many damn questions at every point of sale. I have to leave a comment, make a suggestion, donate to a charity, choose a method of payment three times and then multiple choice of ways to get a receipt.

Take the damn money and leave me alone.

So those are brief thoughts. The Dinosaurs is a technically impressive, fun show that I enjoyed watching. It suffers from its narration and narrative style, and from the looks and behaviours of certain of its animal models. But they are outweighed by the good, and I do recommend it overall. 8/8

Last night I watched all 4 eps of the new Netflix series The Dinosaurs. I tend not to comment on these kinds of shows as, having worked on them, I find that those people who criticize or critique them have no understanding of the competing pressures and factors inherent to the TV industry... 1/8

Sorry I'm not more open-minded about LLMs, it's just some fucking maniacs shoveled out a bunch of useless bloatware featuring that technology, did not give me any chance to opt out, reorganized the entire economy around it, zeroed out gains made by green energy, and made it impossible to buy RAM
