Tonight I watched The Hateful Eight.
It wasn't bad, but it was far from my favorite Tarantino movie.

Watched Alita: Battle Angel for the first time. It was fun and I like the style. Nothing mind blowing, but I definitely enjoyed it. Somehow Alita was the least uncanny valley triggering character.

I'm not pissing in the wind. I'm pissing WITH the wind for superior range.

Okay one more gripe.

It really took me out of it when Harrison Ford showed up. Like he's standing in the shadows while talking and you only see his silhouette. Then he steps into the light to reveal who he is

It's just hella fan servicey and took me out of a moment that could have been way better

Is it weird that I enjoyed 2049 more than the og Blade Runner?

Only gripe I have is it should have had more Dave Batista and less Jared Leto

Maybe because it was the first to explore some of that, it's just more obvious to someone watching it in 2026?

I wonder if I'm just missing something. The way people talk about it, there's more to the story than the light "what is and isn't 'alive'" or the moral implications of killing something that is artificially created by man, but still sentient.

I ended up watching the OG Blade Runner the other night, and I'm still unsure how I feel about it. It feels like I'm missing something. I was left feeling sorta like "that's it?"

Like, the visuals and world building were great, especially for 1982, but the plot just felt shallower than I expected

When I eventually go, I wanted to also go somewhere that's a little less in the middle of the hustle and bustle of Tokyo, but I assume it's harder to get by on English only

Just finished Atomic Blonde. Pretty action packed spy movie with a cool aesthetic and a bangin soundtrack.

I don't normally do new years resolution, but this year I want to watch more movies. I have so many that I've been meaning to watch, so I'm going to actually make an effort to set time aside.

Maybe I'll share my thoughts on here. Maybe ask for recommendations. Kinda broaden my horizons and such
