I'm gonna share this zine I made a few years ago about why it's always worth it to be in the struggle, even when we're losing. This zine still hasn't found its readers (nor has the book that supercedes it), so I'd be happy to hear if anyone reads and appreciates!

has anyone considered that the "loneliness epidemic" is just the result of the illusion of having access to people all the time through text and email and then never getting responses because we are all constantly overwhelmed by this tech that is literally designed to overwhelm us?
Yeah, I appreciate that. I have definitely read this book + many many others on this topic but for me these are some tensions of organizing for anarchism inside of capitalism that are not easily resolvable and just need to be continually talked and worked through
it's hard to do the work unpaid that someone else is getting paid for (even if that person is doing more work). but having some paid staff is also often the only way to have some stability and capacity.
I feel like you've put your finger on something I've been trying to name in the context of unionism for a long time. It's irritating when there are paid organizers bc it makes organizing someone's job instead of all of our job, and creates a hierarchy btw paid/unpaid, and
Ai said they were tired, but this is a really good thread with some important questions.
i'm looking forward to the too-big shoe trend spreading across the fash, because then they can't run after anybody. a much easier version of 'workout and eat well so you can punch the nazis' imo.
Passing on info to students is fine but I'm not interested in having the prison itself select people. thanks!
Let me know, because I haven't seen any writing at all, let alone books... (and didn't turn them up in a search either)
Thanks! lemme see what I can dig up first (I have a feeling once I start asking around a lot of cases may come up) but I may get back to you on this!
thanks for this!
Boosting this again. If you can help reunite this separated family at my kids' school, you will help our whole community stay more whole.
THIS RIGHT HERE is the thing that gets me every time.
Home security systems are safety theater. They make us feel like weβre in control, but they donβt actually reduce the risk of violence.
If anything, theyβre a part of a broader, predatory industry that exploits our fears and *increases* the risk of violence to keep us spending money.
so much this!
ugghhh ACCURATE
πππ
thank you so much for this support!
I somehow missed this when it was originally posted, but wanted to share this beautiful guide both for folks locally and as an example for folks in other geographic areas <3
thanks for including DPR in this! <3
lol happy to conjugate my anger anytime!
bonkers!!!
ughh sorry. is it counting toward your deductible even though you're in the manufacturer program? mine was, and maybe that at least is good news if you can take advantage of it!
For those wanting to know more about Iran and voices from inside the country (rather than the fash-y monarchists outside), Naghmeh Sohrabi has been translating pieces from folks inside on her blog:

and yes, I am still mad about how easy it was to dupe so many people into being really into Walz's "dad energy" in 2024. he sucks, he has sucked, he is determined to continue to suck.
of course! i hate to argue with people about whether anarchism is practical but i love to help people learn more about it if they are interested!!! thanks for posing some helpful questions!
it doesn't necessarily need to be locally either, honestly. if you haven't already, you might enjoy reading Everything for Everyone for some visions of how tech can be used and distributed in an anarchist society (I also love The Dispossessed for this)
looking to report on folks with Long COVID in US prisons. if you have a penpal or loved one inside, it would be awesome if you can ask them if they know anyone who suspects they have it!
if you know someone or have an idea where I might look, my signal is @freeze.16 and email rebelprof@proton.me
divest from death, invest in life is still the call!!!!
Food stamp recipients, laid-off autoworkers, ICU nurses don't want war with Iran. I talked to workers who are horrified by the US-Israeli bombing of schools, hospitals, homesβand outraged that we're spending billions of public dollars on war while people in the US go hungry.
