UK might board shadow fleet tankers. However, just making passage through the English Channel or the Gibraltar Strait (also controlled by the UK) more difficult by lengthy inspections of cargo and insurance documents, could also be effective in cutting off supplies.

13/ After passing the English Channel, most boats continue through the Gibraltar Strait, heading for the Suez Channel. However, a few takes the longer route to Asia around Africa, or go directly to customers in Africa and South America, not going through Gibraltar and the Mediterranean Sea.

π Since July, the oil tanker LEO II has been circling aimlessly off the coast of Cyprus π¨πΎ.
Commercial delay? Technical issue?
Neither: sheβs playing a key role in bypassing sanctions on Russian oil π·πΊ, all while appearing to stand still.
