Like I said, it might have something to do with the Hibakusha having been disregarded (or outright discriminated against) for so long?! Maybe even such a small act of recognition and visibility might be an attempt at finally acknowledging the group? Just what I would read into it, though.

To be fair: Wenn es gut gemacht ist, ist jede Textmenge die richtige, aber was mir so derbe auf den Keks geht, ist dass wir wirklich gar nicht mehr auf die Intention der Entwickler*innen vertrauen, sondern deren Arbeit irgendwie auf Teufel komm raus mit zusätzlichem „Content“ aufblähen wollen 😩
Am liebsten aus dem Leben der „Welcome to Corneria!“-NPCs am Ortseingang — aus deren Leben wollten wir schon immer SEHR viel mehr hören!
Zu wenig NPC-Dialog — auf jeden Fall eines der großen ungelösten Probleme des Mediums Videospiel…

Game 4/26: REANIMAL
I'm a big fan of @tarsierstudios.bsky.social's Little Nightmares I & II, and while REANIMAL does tread some of the same ground, I think the biggest compliment I can give is that nothing could possibly prepare your for its last 10 minutes. Highly uncomfortable & very compelling!
I just unironically started a work e-mail with the words "Dear Ester", and that gave me a pleasant shiver of nostalgia because of...reasons (IYKYK) 😅

I hate it when devs feel completely boxed-in by audience expectations for a series, even when one of the main parts of the series is that each part is different from the others to some degree. I‘d rather see the devs make the game they *want* to make (and tell the story they *want* to tell).

I‘m by no means an expert on UK politics, but since we‘re seeing this all over Europe, and the world, really, it‘s racists being racist & divise, waging a culture war, while calling the other side racist & divisive and accuse them of waging a culture war. Seems to be the new conservative playbook 🤢
