WE FINALLY DID A DISTRICT PLAN. Damn proud of it. Thanks to you all for all your help over the years.
Very good to have more support for the Regional Councilβs existing policy on fare capping. If central governmentβs ticketing project is delayed any further we should look to deliver this in Wellington now, as Auckland has already done. For now we need the city council to finish the bus lanes job. 1/
obviously the no rates rises people who want to stop anything happening were all sitting at home not voting

Together we defeated the Treaty Principles Bill. Even more dangerous is the Regulatory Standards Bill. Submissions are now open until 23 June.

In the three years since I passed an amendment to make our Wellington libraries fines free there has been a 30 percent increase in borrowers. Love to see it PΕneke!
I am really sad about this, but so glad you get to put yourself first, plus still get to run for a seat at the table β¨ thank you for everything
This record of delivery on water infrastructure, enabling more housing and improving transport for people on bus and bikes has been hard won and achieved in the face of bitter conservative opposition whilst somehow simultaneously being derided as βno recordβ and as βruining the cityβ. Go figure. 2/
I'm running! With our city (and world) the way it is, there's a need for constructive, pragmatic people at the table. If I'm lucky enough to receive the Greens nomination, I'll be asking for your help - for housing, infrastructure, for a Wellington where everyone can thrive.
A silver necklace with the words βwalkable citiesβ linked by a heart
hey did anyone else get emotional after a few beers at cuba dupa and order themselves a custom couplesβ necklace and choose βwalkableβ and βcitiesβ as the two names?
a fine bakery choice

A bulk packing system for emergency kits with whistles, face masks, toilet paper, survival blankets and glow sticks amongst other things
Obsessed with our workβs new emergency kits which are like a party bag for disasters (itβs the glow sticks for me)
petition to call it "sector" going forward
got invited to a "discipline meeting" and was absolutely shitting bricks... but turns out it was just a meeting about my discipline (urban design - in a multi-disciplinary company)
Take my money
If we're going to fence off the waterfront, it should be at the Quays. That side poses far more danger.
An illustration showing the impact of parking requirements on land use. From left to right, the image depicts a gradient of increasing parking mandates: 'No Parking Required' allows for dense, walkable development; '1 Space per 500 Square Feet' introduces some parking; '1 Space per 250 Square Feet' adds more parking lots; and '1 Space per 100 Square Feet' results in sprawling, car-centric infrastructure with large parking lots dominating the landscape. The logo 'PRN' and 'PARKING REFORM NETWORK' are visible at the bottom.
βThe right to have access to every building in the city by private motorcar, in an age when everyone possesses such a vehicle, is actually the right to destroy the city.β

Agree haha always thought itβs pretty crap. Clearly a space filler with a stock standard design.
a screenshot from Google Maps where a playground on Hutchison Road in Mt Cook has been renamed "Mean as playground for the whanau"

blue heart for the blue paint scene which still ruins me π
can we normalise publising a deceased actors name in the push notification? I didn't click on "buffy vampire slayer and gossip girl actress found dead" then later I find out it's Harriet the Spy?
Thank you for one of the best movies of my childhood Michelle Trachtenberg π
