Pan Tadeusz by Adam Mickiewicz. It’s a translated Polish historical fiction in epic poem format from the 1800s that a Polish friend suggested for our book club. It’s an important work given their history, but the misogyny, racism, and nationalism were too much for me considering the current times.

Just finished reading Black Cake by Charmaine Wilkerson. It’s the kind of book I have to let sink in before trying to rate because the nature of it is so nuanced and profound when you can relate to it yourself as one of the “in-betweeners” described in the book. #booksky
