Donald Trump was always going to bring disaster on the world, and now it’s happening for real. This thread explains how truly awful this is.

It was obvious when they started talking about "free speech" anew a few years ago that it was meant to be about being a trans bigot without social consequence, but we're reminded now it also means supporting eternal war crimes against Palestinians.
In other words this is the only possibility that we can absolutely rule out with one hundred percent certainty.
10/ All of this was totally foreseeable. Frankly, it’s why previous presidents weren’t so stupid to start a war like this.
Trump has lost control of the war. His best course now is to cut his losses and end it. That’s the only way to prevent an even bigger disaster.
the man operates at a third grade reading level and has absolutely zero idea how literally anything works
an even semi-competent political press would have made this relentlessly clear over the last decade

Old man Trump, mouth wide open, shocked
Trump has lost control of the war on Iran with no off ramp or exit strategy. Trump's team failed to assess Iran's ability to retaliate nor did they have any plan for a long term sustained retaliation, and have now thrown the entire region into a fiery shitstorm.
Subculture kids have been fighting fascists for decades.
It is very easy to read statements like this as a joke.
This is not a joke.
We have proven with AI, completely by accident, what knowledgeable people have been saying for decades: the environment that rich people live in gives them a very specific personality disorder.

Apropos of SecDef's remarks this morning:
Denial of quarter—even the declaration of no quarter—is a war crime.
And recognized as such by the US Government.

Rest in power Breonna Taylor. Today, we mourn six years without her, and six years without justice or accountability.
I want the next Democratic president, on Day One, to arrest Donald Trump and Pete Hegseth, put them in a C-130 to The Netherlands, and tells the Hague to do its worst. I don't care if it upends their first 100 days agenda. We never get the Rule of Law back without enforcing laws.
Putting an orangutan in fur is some seriously dark stuff.
-A living wage
-Guaranteed healthcare
-The right to join a union
-The right to vote
-The right to choose when, how, and with whom you start a family
-The right for you and your family to live free from gun violence
Remember: These are the foundations of real freedom.
A president of the US who brags about murdering people is probably the worst thing I’ve ever seen.
We’re in a very dark place.
Republicans keep killing Americans.
Donald Trump is a fuck up. This has always been true.
Six years ago today, Louisville police murdered Breonna Taylor while serving a no-knock warrant based on false information.
They shot her six times while she slept in her home. Breonna was only 26. She was an EMT, an aspiring nurse, and beloved by all who knew her.
Those who advertise on right wing owned media must be boycotted. This is a moral imperative. Vote with your money while you still have some.
The failure to plan for the Strait of Hormuz is a serious no winter coats for invading Russia level of fail.
We need online anonymity, so people can speak against their government and others in power without fear of retaliation. We need smaller platforms and the ability to build them, to diversify away from big tech. We need young people to be able to access information that contradicts the fascist state.
And as popular as it is to say the internet sucks and we should all leave, the internet is where people get information. Physical media isn’t enough anymore. It has been dismantled. If we lose the internet, we lose—period.
When Republicans talk about and implement total partisan media takeover, their plans for “internet safety” also factor in. They want to concentrate online power into platforms they can control, but they’re disguising it as bipartisan efforts to keep kids safe online.
Voting republican costs American lives. This is fact not opinion.
You’ll never guess when in this chart we were obsessed with recession, stagflation, & the terrible economy…
