There’s exponentially more media coverage in 🇺🇸 of a fake Iran-drone-plot-on-California and Timothee’s remarks on opera than there is about genocidal pedophiles bombing dozens of schools and hospitals in Iran and displacing 700,000 people in Lebanon and that seems like the wrong attention ratio to me
Iranian schoolgirls spontaneously explode, Palestinian babies suffocate after their own NICU units decided to just stop, Lebanese buildings kinda implode of their own accord, and two Pennsylvania teenagers had their lives changed after not having a normal day enjoying NYC in abnormally warm weather.
The seed was planted as a kid when I was taking different classes preparing to do my first communion, and that I could see discrepancies between how the Quebecois side and the Lebanese side were talking about the Catholic faith. Started to understand that religion (and God) is what people say it is

This viral video claims to show the aftermath of a reported drone attack on the US embassy in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, tonight.
But the video was posted last week to TikTok, and shows an unrelated car accident in Riyadh.

It’s okay to say no, even if you don’t have any gigs. It’s okay to have ‘nothing’, no gigs is better than being sick. Because that’s what exploitative contracts do to you. That is the invisible and sometimes, delayed cost of accepting bad contracts. They make you sick, mentally and financially. You might not realize it in the moment, but when it does it hit, it’ll be a quick and heavy hit. Being burnout and sick doesn’t just affect you, it affects those around you as well.
