It's the nature of chickens, they will eat each other, especially if one is wounded, eat their eggs, I don't miss that part of having chickens. The most cannibalistic bunch of mini dinosaurs I've ever seen.
Speaking of eggs... I continue to find it ridiculous that store bought eggs are labeled as "vegetarian fed" yet pasture raised. Chickens are omnivores and a good healthy egg has a beautiful orange yoke not the anemic ones we see in stores. My girls would chase down mice and small snakes to devour

Well life has decided to come at me with a cosmic 2x4. I had a biopsy that has revealed cancer. My Dr pushed up the follow up appointment to today. Not a result I saw on my 2025 bingo card. Here's hoping having the wherewithal and finances to get through this is in my favor. π³
