Imagine the reaction in the US if ~175 schoolgirls had been killed by a targeted Iranian missile. (Or anyone's missile.)
This is an atrocity.

Cartoon double panel. First shows a dog sitting at a table with a mug in a room that is on fire (the "This is fine" meme.) Second panel shows the dog saying, "So I have a book coming out."
BREAKING
Former ICE agent:
On my first day training new cadets, I received secretive orders to teach them to violate the Constitution by entering homes without a judicial warrant.
BREAKING: The Department of Education has ended its directive that attempted to restrict diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts in schools nationwide.
This is a victory for academic freedom and education equity.
I regularly see people wondering how it's possible that there are so many musicians and writers and film makers and artists from a tiny nation like Iceland.
And the answer is really simple: State funding for art education and artists. I literally get a salary from the government to write books.
This is despicable.
As I say here, there is no scientific justification to revoke the engagement finding. In fact, over the last 15+ yrs, the evidence of how climate change affects our health has only grown. Higher risk of allergies, dementia, fertility, heart disease, and death: thatβs whatβs on the line. @nature.org
@booker.senate.gov @andykimnj.bsky.social This is the correct position on this issue.
This is literally what CURRENT LAW requires. Itβs in the Constitution! www.politico.com/news/2026/02...

Just finished "God's Junk Drawer" by @peterclines.com and loved every word. I grew up as a Land of the Lost kid and this book honored that source material, and took further. Highly recommend! (Illustration is by Steve Spatucci from a "Physics of the Land of the Lost" article I wrote in the mid 90s)

happening this morning in Minneapolis -- ICE agents drawing guns on observers. I reiterate again that it is only a matter of time before DHS kills more innocent people in Minnesota. Congress needs to shut this shit down right now.
(around an image of a masked ICE agent holding a gun) Republicans "One Big Beautiful Bill' nearly tripled funding for ICE. That money came from your benefits: paid for by cuts to reproductive health care paid for by cuts to Medicare & Medicaid paid for by cuts to SNAP paid for by cuts to clean energy projects paid for by cuts to obesity prevention paid for by cuts to disaster response paid for by cuts to energy tax credits
I think a lot of us get hope wrong. Hope, I do not believe, is an emotion. In fact, hope makes space for lots of emotions to exist alongside it. You can DO hope scared, angry, sad etc...
Hope doesn't find us. We make hope through action and struggle. It's a practice of living and is re-made daily.
The author of a controversial memo from centrist think tank Searchlight telling Democrats to abandon the slogan βAbolish ICEβ is a senior advisor for WestExec, a D.C. shadow lobbyist for corporations in the defense, surveillance, and immigration enforcement industries.

How a remark about βpungentβ Indian food cost an American university $200,000
ICE ended up returning the man, Saly, after realizing heβs a fucking US citizen with no criminal record, per his sister-in-law. These fucking animals.
Thank you--I just did this and there was actually a little something there!
This is beyond irresponsible.
ICE are thug scum.
This is the sort of statement that was expected from every university president and law firm partner over the last year. That those statements werenβt made played a huge part in where we are now and people will remember.
The decision has been made to break an American city. It is an experiment. We must do all we can (legally) to help Minneapolis hold on.
Abolish ICE? DHS Too. Itβs Time talkingpointsmemo.com/edblog/aboli...
text on apple feedback form: I wrote that the issue was not resolved because the app producing Child Sexual Abuse Material (X, formerly Twitter) is still available on the App Store. Once it is removed, I will consider the issue resolved.
Just had a callback conversation with an agent, shared my concern and they will be filing a report with Apple.
Image of a text conversation: Apple Support: : Glad to know that, you're welcome! To better help you, can you tell me more about your Family Sharing & Children concern? Me:I am concerned about the X (formerly Twitter) app that is available at the app store. Why is Apple permitting an app that is now regularly producing CSAM (Child Sexual Abuse Material) still permitted in Apple's App store? Me: I am an educator (I teach teachers) and this app is now being used is very harmful ways in schools. My level of concern is very high, and I cannot understand why Apple is not doing anything about it. Apple Support: I understand that you are concerned about the X app that is available in the App Store. I will be more than happy to help you with this to also send a complaint about this for Apple to review this. To continue, I will be asking a few questions. Would that be okay? Me: Sure Apple Support: Thank you!
Having a little chat right now with Apple support about X (Twitter) still being available in the App Store even though it is now producing CSAM.

This is hopeful and amazing on so many levels. I would love to plant an American Chestnut tree in confidence someday.
