Conceived as a sister/spin-off band to Alicia Cordisco's (Ex-Judicator) anarchist thrash/death ensemble Transgressive, The Recreant is a stripped down and straight shot of pure anger at what the world has done to marginalized people. Musically, it's broken down to base elements of fury from crossover thrash, crust, and grindcore. Lyrically, a visceral, open wound exposure of experiences of bigotry, abuse, sexual assault, medical genocide, and the draconian prison system in the United States and the horrors trans women in particular face. Solo artist and expert thrasher Ruby Rockatansky joins to add her punishing, chest rattling vocals to command the listener's attention.
