Looks good, good luck with your project!

Reading through my script I'm really considering keeping this mistake in there. Made me giggle harder than it should.
Coming next year: Pine Shallows in print!

That would be hella cool, but yeah, you're right, there's probably a lot who one would forget/miss.
I aspire to one day becoming so famous, that I'll be featured in someone's starter pack.
I had so much fun with this, y'all should too π
could've been, for now, it's just silly.
Hahaha, I love that!
I mean in hindsight I might've done a joke game too. π
Wow, what an image! Thank you for the support β€οΈ
"Every trap is non-magical unless the words spell or magic are used in the description. If in doubt use common sense or panic, undress, and run into a cornfield while yelling SABRAGOOON three times. This will often provide you with an answer, and tons of new questions."
I love it, but do you? π€
That's a good example.
I recently used Python to calculate proximity about the same idea:
"How many times would it take before I roll a 1 if every time I roll 2-6 I add a d6 to the next roll?"
It helped me realize if it was a feasible way to progress the game.
So I totally see your point!
Thanks, that makes a lot of sense.
I guess it really isn't rocket science once it comes down to it. :D
That's super cool. Do you do that in Python?
Perhaps I could do something similar to figure out a sort of balance. But I think in terms of "fun" and flow it will be difficult.
Love to read stuff like this!
Using a Kan-ban software to move around sections feels super clever.
Or do you have any cool resources about it?
@jimmyshelter.bsky.social I know you have a special way of playtesting specific sections of your games isolated from the whole, right?
@byodinsbeardrpg.com What about you Colin? Do you just churn out great games straight onto paper?
Through my time as an architect and designer, I've done tons of tests, models, experiments, and other quick ways to learn something new about what you're creating.
So for the first time, I've created two versions of a game, and I'm going to playtest both.
Have you ever prototyped a TTRPG?
This is perhaps more for designers than for GMs needing something for tomorrow's game.
Still, there's overlap and it's hardly damaging to read/listen to some of these sources.
I'm working on a writeup, here's some of my inspirations:

Thanks for bookmarking, reading, and replying! It's nice to hear that it's useful. :)
Yeah, I guess the whole idea would be to try to contain your own RSS-feed-excitement. π
Thanks for sharing.
I fucking love RSS. I totally forgot about it. Uh, maybe this is a weekend procrastination product to get started on.
Which reader are you using?
That's kind of you! β€οΈ If you subscribe to the substack It'll bookmark it straight to your inbox π
I appreciate it, let me know if there's a topic you would be interested in. Glad to have you "onboard" my journey. π
MY MAAAN!
Do you want to show your TTRPG adventure as a real book, without printing it first?
I've made this small write-up to try to help you.
Let me know if it's useful! I would also love to hear if you have other things that I could help write about?

I made a "starter pack" of OSR folks to follow. I couldn't fit everyone on it (sorry for those I didn't get to, it's not personal!):
go.bsky.app/666yWeT
OSR/indie RPG Starter Pack #2, just adding some more that couldn't fit in #1:
go.bsky.app/J9iMkh
Is there room for more in this version? Would love to be included. π Otherwise I just have to follow for now.
Glad to have your help on this project Peter!
