This made me cry with despairing laughter. We’re on the brink of worldwide recession and devastating conflict and this is the priority? It’s as if an entire political class has just given up. The government barely any better.
I am not seeing a powerful America, but an America whose power is draining away, and is acting out the crisis of decline.
The measure of winning and losing a war is not who kills more or who destroys more.
We should be honoured to host, teach and learn from these people not exclude them. I'm ashamed of our government.

This is so true. It’s also beyond enraging that a bloc with *more power* than fossil fuels does exist and could be mobilised. The companies that have to deal with climate impacts and volatile fossil fuel prices far outnumber the fossil fuel majors, they have just never lobbied as effectively.
